It is home to a pod of at least 30 bottlenose dolphins that are seen to cruise up and down the beach and nearby Narrawalee feeding and frolicking or thrilling onlookers by catching a few waves sometimes sharing a wave with other surfers. Whales are also common visitors to the sheltered waters of Mollymook beach and the adjacent coastline, often spotted during migration seasons as they make their way up the east coast to have their young. On their return journey southward, you can sometimes see the new mothers and their calves playing in the water just past the break. The surf beach at Mollymook is one of the
most beautiful and famous on the East Coast with its crystal
clear waters and long stretch of white sands. Mollymook Surf
Club regularly hosts regional and State Surf Life Saving
Championships demonstrating just how highly this beach is
regarded. North Molly is also a great surfing beach
patrolled by surf lifesavers for the summer holidays and
during the easter break. Located at the southern end of Mollymook beach is the Mollymook Golf Club. The spectacular Beachside Golf Course is a great place for social golfers to spend a morning or afternoon. There is also the highly rated, very challenging, Mollymook Hilltop Golf Course for more serious golfers. Special Golfing Packages can be arranged when booking your stay at 145 On The Parade. The Golf Clubhouse fronting right onto the beach is a great venue to enjoy a beer, coffee or gourmet meal in the bistro while taking in the picturesque views of Mollymook beach. The club's auditorium hosts regular modern entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.

Narrawallee Beach is flatter and has even more expansive stretches of clean white sand than Mollymook. It is very popular with locals and visitors who love to stroll, walk or jog on the beach. The resident pod of bottle nosed dolphins can often be seen playfully cruising the length of the beach or catching a wave. Surfers enjoy riding the breaks at both the north and south ends. The beach is patrolled in summer and at Easter.
Narrawallee also offers its own pristine crystal clear lake/inlet where the tidal Narrawallee Creek enters the sea. The creek and inlet are popular for fishing or just splashing around in the calm water. The beach is bounded by a bushland reserve with easy enjoyable walking tracks and picnic areas set up with public gas BBQ’s and picnic tables.
Only 4kms away is the charming township of Milton which has been classified by the National Trust as a heritage village. The township offers a wide range of historic buildings, art and craft shops, unique designer boutique shops and a wide range of excellent cafes and restaurants mostly set in heritage listed buildings dating back to the 1860’s. The weekend village markets which are conducted on a regular basis are a true reflection of the skilled craftspersons living in the area. The village is also in a brilliant
setting with a spectacular backdrop of the escarpment and
Pigeon House Mountain to the west giving picturesque views
across the rich farming land. To the east you overlook more
valuable farmland with cattle grazing peacefully on rolling
green hills that stretch to the ocean.
Adjoining Mollymook to the south is the main township of Ulladulla. It features a beautiful little commercial fishing and boating harbour right next to the highway with places to sit, eat and view the beautiful scenery. A favourite pastime for many visitors to Ulladulla is having a meal of fish and chips beside the harbour on the chairs and picnic tables scattered about the lawns. Population of the township swells to 60,000 during the peak season. To cater for these large numbers of visitors Milton/Ulladulla offers numerous places to eat, browse for a souvenir or relax and enjoy the year round mild temperature and atmosphere that is second to none.
Mollymook is surrounded by National Parks, nature reserves, state conservation areas, aboriginal areas, pockets of lush rain forest and magnificent old growth wilderness. They offer numerous great short walks and for the more adventurous, ½ day and full day bushwalks. Pigeon House Mountain, spectacular escarpments, waterfalls and other brilliant scenic sites (not to mention the flora and fauna) are the rewards from numerous view points and lookouts. Wildflowers, a vast array of attractive palms and vines, pockets of lush rain forest and magnificent old growth wilderness together with the diverse bird life and many species of Australian wildlife add to the interest of a visit to these unspoiled areas right on your doorstep. The Jervis Bay Marine Park and the soon to be declared Bateman’s Bay Marine Park offer great opportunities to view the diverse off-shore marine life by taking one of the numerous boat charters or (for those wanting an even closer look) by going scuba diving.
Apart from Narrawallee Inlet which is right on your doorstep there are several other coastal lakes which are a great place for recreational water sports such as wind surfing, snorkeling, boating and tidal fishing. They also are great places for safe salt water swimming. Its only a few minutes drive to Lake Conjola, Burrill Lake and Lake Tabourie, and less than a half hour drive to the even more secluded lakes at Termeil, Meroo, Willinga and Durras.
